Shenyu New Energy is the most largest jatropha cultivation company in China and also a leading supplier of high quality jatropha crude oil and biodiesel to customers around the world with professional knowledge and unique technologies. The oil from jatropha seeds is ideal and main feedstock for high performance green aviation fuels.
In March 2006, Yunnan Shenyu New Energy Co., Ltd was founded in a spring city Kunming and focuses on the industrial development of jatropha biomass green energy on the non-cropped drought-hot valley land. By now, Shenyu New Energy has invested almost half of billion Yuan (about 65 millions US dollar) for more than 82,300 acres of jatropha feedstock plantations and 741,000 acres of own propertied reserve forest lands used for the future expanding cultivation in Yunnan province, China and Burma.
In 2010, Shenyu New Energy has finished an plant occupied more than 42 acres lands and 15,000m2 building area in Shuangbai, Chuxiong, near Kunming. The plant was designed for a production line of 60,000MTS per year of jatropha crude oil. Now, we have an production line with advanced processing technology that can produce 3,000MTS per year of jatropha crude oil, 3,000MTS per year of jatropha biodiesel and 3,000MTS per year of feed protein without poison.
On 28 October 2011，Shenyu New Energy was selected as the only manufacturer around the world to offer high quality jatropha crude oil for China''s first sustainable aviation biofuel demonstration flight. The oil was refined again to meet aviation standards and then with a 50 percent blend of petroleum-based fuel together powered a Boeing747-400 aircraft successfully.
