It is mainly used as a curing agent for epoxy resins and is suitable for casting, laminating, and powder molding. General dosage 75-95°C, curing conditions: 100°C/2 hours +150°C/5h. The cured product has excellent weather resistance, heat resistance, and electrical properties. The product can also be used as a raw material for polyester resins, alkyd resins, plasticizers, stability, and insecticides. Some of the derivatives and their uses are as follows: diallyl naphthenate is used as a heat-resistant cross-linker for unsaturated polyesters. 3,6-Endmethylene-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalic acid dioctyl ester (EDET). This is an excellent epoxy stabilizer of polyvinyl chloride, which can be obtained by esterification and epoxidation of furfuryl alcohol. Norbornene dianhydride can be prepared by N-hydroxynorbornene dicarboximide to produce O,O-dimethyl-3,6-endomethylene-1,2,3,6-tetrahydrophthalic acid Dicarboximide phosphorothioate. This is a pesticide with good insecticidal effect. The product is also used as a modifier for urea-formaldehyde resins, melamine resins, rosin, etc., rubber vulcanization regulators, resin plasticizers, surfactants, textile finishing penetrants. The product is irritating to skin and mucous membranes.
