According to the type of engine, it is discharged into the atmosphere through an <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exhaust_pipe" class="mw-redirect" title="Exhaust pipe">exhaust pipe</a>, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flue_gas_stack" class="mw-redirect" title="Flue gas stack">flue gas stack</a>, or <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propelling_nozzle" title="Propelling nozzle">propelling nozzle</a>.
