  Propolis - "preventative medicine; an all-natural protector"

One of the most well-documented products from the honey bee, propolis is known worldwide as a powerful, all-natural anti-biotic. The former Soviet Union performed many scientific studies into the effects of propolis. Even in Cuba, a country with limited means, opened a multi-million dollar facility dedicated to the scientific study of propolis and the other products from the beehive.


Today, the research continues to confirm and rediscover that propolis has immune-boosting bioflavonoids with numerous properties, such as:

All these properties are found in the numerous bioflavonoids which are found in the sticky, brown resinous substance collected by honeybees from various plants and later mixed with wax. Propolis contains approximately 55% resins & balms, 30% wax, 10% etheric oils and 5% pollen. Rich in amino acids and trace elements, it also has a high vitamin content, including the valuable bioflavanoids, Vitamin K. Its these basic ingredients that give propolis its dynamic bacteria-destroying power, some of the best originating from North America.
It is believed that Hippocrates, the father of medicine, prescribed the use of propolis to help heal sores and ulcers, internally and externally. Unlike penicillin or other drugs, propolis is always effective, because bacteria and viruses cannot build tolerances against it. This has been clinically verified after its use in more than 16,000 situations. Danish scientist, Dr. K. Lund Aagaard, considered an expert on propolis states ,"The whole research program had a single purpose, namely, to obtain a substance with the greatest efficiency against the greatest number of diseases.
