This company is originated in Broadband Division of GW Technology Co., Ltd. and it has the earliest EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Networks) research item in China. It achieved ‘National 863 Program’ twice about EPON based on the cooperation with BUPT (Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications) at 2002 and 2004, both with the highest evaluation of Aa. It has applied and received 14 national invention patents about EPON.
With more than 6 years development in technology and 3 years application in market, GWD has already established mature serials of EPON products and became industry leader in optical broadband access networks in China. Moreover, it actively attended various EPON test items organized by the domestic carriers. At 2005 and 2006, GWD was the only Chinese corporation of the corporations to attend the EPON chip communication test of China Telecom. At Mar 2007, it attended the EPON system test of China Telecom. At Aug 2007, All the EPON series was adopted by China Telecom. At Jul 2007, it attended the EPON system test of China Netcom. At Dec 2007, All the EPON series was adopted by China Netcom. At 2008, it attended EPON standards and test by the State Administration of Radio, Film and television, to provide customers with comprehensive EPON + EOC programs and products. GWD provides the products of FTTB、FTTP and FTTH, to fully meet networking needs and services expansion for our customers. EasyPath EPON has the unique ability to access integrated services and it can provide customers with a more integrated, low-cost all-business solutions.
GWD is developing at an annual rate of 100% in overseas markets.
